Hedging one's bets...

I'm quite fascinated by topiary, and more specifically, the mind of the topiarist. Why would you look at a tree and think, 'I know, let's make it look like a twelve foot peacock'? Or a dartboard? Or a shoe?

There's a hedge I'm particularly fond of (yes, I know, when you develop feelings for foliage, it's tablet time!) over in Newington, which the owners have carefully fashioned into a massive representation of Brian the Snail from The Magic Roundabout!

As Dylan the rabbit would have said....far out, man!
