After the election

Well, who ever would have expected it? instead of a coronation for Theresa May it was more like a survival operation.
 
Meanwhile in Scotland the  SNP lost in Stirling and the Tory candidate got in by 148 votes.
 
 

The SNP expected it to be a “walk in the park” an easy victory. Instead there was tactical voting.
 
 
Anyone but the SNP and the local Tory candidate had the best chance of defeating the incumbent SNP.
 
 
To what extent Judy Murray’s controversial Park of Keir planning application , supported by SNP, influenced that decision we have no means of knowing since we, as a campaigning group, have always remained non-political.
 
 
We have campaigned vigorously against this planning application and the community have supported us whole-heartedly.
 
   
Last night they showed through the ballot box their growing disillusionment with the SNP and the way it ignores local democracy.
