Red-necked footman

This unmistakable moth, with scattered records in the south and west of the UK, was recorded for the first time at the nature reserve by moth trappers a few years ago. However, I failed to see one until now, when this one presented itself in the centre of one of our woodland rides. A really smart looking moth which I would be happy to have serving me my gin and tonic!
