Taking Refuge

This beautiful little honeyeater looked like it was taking refuge from the rain after having a feast on the banksia flowers. It was perched on the iron tube that takes the water from the top tank (the billabong) to the lower tank near the bird bowl deck.

I couldn't believe the number of little birds that were diving and darting out of the bushes today. Even though it was raining it didn't seem to worry them one little bit. It has been a very damp and gloomy day but we made the most of it and now we're tucked up in front of a very cosy fire :-)

I hope all of my blip buddies are having a great, GREAT weekend.
