Celebrating 100 years...
...of the Finnish Farmers' Union MTK in Helsinki. Triinu was an official representative in the federal assembly and also the spouses were invited. The main photo is when the flags of the regional unions were brought in at the beginning of the assembly.
After the speeches in the beginning of the assembly I visited the event in the railway station square where machinery from every decade of the union history was on display. In the first extra one of the oldest tractors. There was also a parade from the city centre with both horses and tractors (with the oldest tractors on trailers).
In the evening there was dinner with about 1000 people. The food was great and the program included an interesting dance performance by dancer-choreographer Minna Tervamäki and accordion artist Kimmo Pohjonen. While it was visually very interesting, I probably didn't exactly follow the story very well.
