Wall, Wind and Weed

'Full many a flower is born to blush unseen and waste its sweetness on the desert air'.
In this case ragwort in a less than salubrious crack in the pavement beside the old Meat Market in Fountainbridge with its only remaining blue tiled wall.
Together, the wall and the weed present a pleasing combination.

Has anyone else out in Blipland thought that we are having more wind than usual for June? I mean meteorological wind rather than the personal kind.
I have been watching the trees outside the Dower House, not to mention my carefully coiffured hair, blowing about in a stiff breeze (by lowland standards) for many days now, and the showers that occur from time to time come at an acute angle.

Perhaps it is all part of the wind of change blowing through the country..........
