Pelican

This is the pelican that swam past last weekend; I was away and missed it, but Richard took this photo and sent it off the the local paper. It had apparently escaped from a zoo and had been missing a while, but it was recaptured, malnourished. The man who took it from the river was told he had to feed it fish, but all the shops were closed so, very enterprising, he wrote something on faceboook and was inundated with people coming round with fish...
