Ooops! (Out on a Bender!)

The climb out of the harbour is no longer a simple matter.

One of the cargo ships bringing grain to Hutchisons Flour Mill must have struck it when docking.

It is very tricky entering Kirkcaldy harbour. Firstly, the entrance is only a few feet wider than the ships. Once through, the basin is not much wider than the length of the cargo ships that bring the grain. They then have to rotate 270 degrees before docking, and a further 90 degrees a few days later before leaving. All under the supervision of the Forth Ports Authority Pilot.
