Super blue

I had rather a tiresome day at work really. They were short staffed which meant I didn't get any help in the kitchen and it was all a bit thankless. It was one of the resident's birthday and when I took a little buffet tea over to him and his guests he said 'lunch wasn't very good' so I said 'let's hope tea is better then'
Then I took him his birthday cake and he managed a bit of a smile.
I was glad to finish and come home, and spotted this delightful delphinium in the border, which I hadn't noticed somehow yesterday!
What a colour, and the slugs didn't get it!
