Colour on a grey day

June has started as a bit of a damp squib - much rain and not much in the way of sunshine. I felt in need of a good walk today after 4 days out of seven last week were a bit of a blustery washout. Started from the Pelter Bridge car park near Rydal and walked out along the Brathay before ascending Fox Ghyll from where , appropriately,  the blip of the foxglove was taken. It was certainly the most colourful object on the walk. Continued around the south side of Loughrigg and looped around Loughrigg Tarn down to Skelwith Bridge. Walked up past Skelwith Force to Elterwater, crossed Elterwater Common  and round Huntingstile Crag before heading across Loughrigg Terrace. Completed the circular walk passing Rydal caves.
