Water on leaves

Thursday was forecast for sunshine and showers so we headed to Penny Rock wood at Grasmere to take advantage of the shelter from the woodland while still being able to photograph the lake and island.
Had a thoroughly good time but the "showers" turned into solid and heavy rain with no sign of the promised sunshine so we moved to Rydal Hall where I spent some time taking close-ups of water droplets on different plants.
These leaves were a couple of feet long and some of the larger droplets were about the size of my thumbnail.
I loved the way they caught the light and magnified the lines on the leaves.
