Standing Guard.

While out in the car today we decided to check out an osprey nest which we knew about. Pulling into a field gateway, we realised that there was somebody home. Standing (sitting?) guard from a handy branch, this one was originally hunched over but thankfully sat up and posed quite nicely. we did get a surprise when another osprey popped up and flew away, presumably on a fishing trip. As usual, we didn't have the cameras ready!
