Black Down

A ten mile walk along the Sussex Border Path and part of the Serpents Way over Black Down, the highest (280 metres) part of the South Downs National Park. There were several golden ringed dragonflies zipping around but I wasn't able to photograph them. Superb view from the Temple of the Winds, which inspired Alfred Lord Tennyson to write:

You came and looked and saw the view
Long known and loved by me
Green Sussex fading into blue
With just a touch of sea
