Learning to Fly

I'd planned to return to a fallen tree on my lunchtime walk to blip the fungi on the other side of the tree to this butterfly, but it sat there, pondering, occasionally with its wings spread which is in the extra.

I am not sure I have seen a butterfly close up before and while i see recognisable features, I am pretty sure that is only co-incidence, i.e. it looks like a birds head. Anyway, it eventually flew off and I took some photos of the mushrooms, but I preferred these.

It's been a while since I have heard this song...
