Harvest

The weather was lovely, with that end-of-the-summer sunshine feel and a slight breeze, so I took Kara (the dog) to Largo for a run in the fields and woods. At last the farmers have had enough dry days to get the harvest in. I miss the old-fashioned small brick-shaped straw bales. Surely they were easier to stack than round ones?

I'm still hoping for an Indian summer. Perhaps today was it.
