2nd Yorkshire Battalion (Dukes of Wellingtons Reg)

Today we were handing the keys to the town to the new Yorkshire Battalion. I was one of the opposed who did not want the Duke of Wellington Regiment to join the Yorkshire Battalion.
We in Calderdale are very proud of the fact we had a battalion which was based in Halifax.

There were a bit of heckling from a group of youths. Shouting abuse about the lads been in Iraq.
What do they know Yorkshire Battalion is in fact in Afghanistan?
