The Raven with an ASBO

Wednesday 14th June 2017 (1754)

A lovely sunny day so we decided to spend some time in Knaresborough. We parked by the bridge and had a walk down by the river. Unfortunately after 12 shots my camera battery was flat and I didn't have a spare, not very clever!

We moved the car up to the castle and had lunch sitting outside a lovely vintage tea shop in a quiet little alleyway. We had a walk through the castle grounds and met these ravens. The one on the left is called Isabella and she has received not one but two ASBOs! (Anti Social Behaviour Order). Apparently when she is free to fly she likes to land on people's shoulders and has also pretended to be ill in order to get close to people and steal purses and cameras. She is now only allowed to fly free when the castle is closed. This, of course, had to be taken on the phone but with a little post processing has come out well.

I'm trying to psyche myself up for the drive back across the Pennines now.
