Goldfinch in the goat's beard

Went up to the Bethany shop to give them some surplus items we'd managed to identify in our excavation of the meter cupboard - and to the Sally Army bin in Tesco's car park to lose some excess footware.

There were a couple of goldfinches busily pecking around on the top of the old Leith Central station wall; they seemed to be taking something from the yellow flowers, too distant to tell what. I think the flower is goat's beard - same colour as the yellow on the bird's wing which almost made up for him having turned his lovely red head away from me......
