Eucalyptus

I've taken this for MollyMay, my sister in Perth, Western Australia. I mentioned in a message to her yesterday that the very large eucalyptus in next door's garden had blossom on it. I'm not sure she quite believed me so here it is.

I'm still hoping for gumnuts MollyMay. What do you think? 

Is it common for eucalyptus trees to flower in this country?
