Mallow

Stuff I had to deal with today made me wild. :( I was wild that I didn't get out with the camera properly to get shots for 30 Days Wild until the evening when most of the bugs had gone to bed. Very unusual for me to post a pic of a flower without a bug. I do love common mallow. It's one of the wild flowers that appeared on the yellow packets of those Swiss Ricola sweets that my children used to love.

Today's poem is from Sonnets from the Portuguese by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. http://www.classicreader.com/book/1128/15/

From a sequence of extremely ardent love poems that EBB wrote for Robert Browning. They were intended for his eyes only. I like the bee reference.
