First Fruits

We were honored to share in the first fruits of Mike's balcony garden - a single tomato - small but tasty! Makes me wonder how my tomatoes are doing back home!
Our last day here started out with attending a Mass at the local church because it was a special event for the town - "Corpus Christi Day", when a lot of town folk showed up to participate in a bunch of Christenings, Confirmations and First Communions. All very interesting and reminded me of my childhood growing up in Brazil.
Then we sadly said goodbye to Mourão and journeyed to Lisbon, where we are staying overnight at a very modern apartment in the center of town. After enjoying a G & T at a bar on the river front, we had a delicious steak dinner at a restaurant called "Butchers" before turning in for the night, happy and replete!
