Spirit of Ecstasy

There was a vintage car rally in Wiesbaden today, except they call them "vintage cars" here, here they are known as "Oldtimer"*.

This was the bonnet ornament from a huge Rolls-Royce.

The cars mean nothing to me - I am an airhead and not a petrolhead.

But I used to play cricket for a Rolls-Royce team and that brought back many happy memories.  Not least an analysis of 10-5-19-6 (incl. a hat-trick).  If you've never played cricket, that will make no sense at all. 

Cricket is like that.  Like baseball.  But miles/kilometers better.

It was also Friday and by all that's good in the world, I'm glad it is.  Now can we all go off and be kind to each other for a change?

*Nouns that end in "er" here do not get a "s" to pluralise them - der Auslaender/die Auslaender
