Clifton, Bristol

This is Royal York Crescent in Clifton, built 1793-1820 and reputedly the longest crescent in Europe. For a time in the 70s I lived in Cornwallis Crescent, the next one below this. In those days both crescents were a bit seedy but virtually all the terraced houses here have been renovated and redecorated, in varying shades of white.
