Bud on Yellow...From an Old Fellow

Out in my backyard...lo and behold.
A flower is growing...it's a marigold.

Went down on my knee, and into some crud...
to snap the flower, to snap the bud.

I don't know my flowers, and if truth be told...
had to open my laptop, and google marigold.

Nice to get color, nice to get bud,
almost as purty as Ashley Judd.
