Ghost village

Back in 1943 this village was evacuated for use by the M.O.D for the war effort.
A note was pinned to the church asking for the M.O.D to look after the village until they returned.
The villagers never returned as the M.O.D purchased the land from the squire that owned it.
All that remains are the restored school and church, the houses are all shells now.The telephone box is in its original condition and very well preserved.
It's all very sad.
This is only open to the pubic on weekends after a lot of complaining
