Hottest day this year

... at least, it felt like it. This afternoon I took the bus down to the beach at Blackpool Sands, Devon. Had two sea-swims sandwiched by reading and sunbathing, then walked up the hill home. Very hot! Put together this collage of a dozen pictures. Not sure what the bird is, middle of bottom row. I've added an Extra of it for clarity. Wonder if it's a pipit - perhaps a young one - though its head has no markings? Or could it be a female redstart? Its beak's quite dark. Suggestions welcome! All the birds were in our garden, except for the wren who was singing its heart out from a hedge-top on my way home. I think the butterfly is a gatekeeper, but not sure. Again, suggestions welcome!

EDIT - Thanks to Murmuration for identifying the mystery bird as a young starling. Hooray! :-)
