Spring to Life

Great North memories

Didn't realise it was the Great North run today. Here are my medals from the race.

My most poignant memory was the year of 9/11, where 50,000 people stood in silence for 2 minutes at the start.

My saddest memory, the year a couple of runners died, one of which I had passed in the final mile to the finish.

My most reflective memory was the year I nearly passed out at the finish after having an attack of palpitations (I have PSVT), reflective because i was thinking should I really be doing this.

Would like to do it again, hmmmmm
