Young stuckie!

A stuckie as we call them in Scotland, a starling to the rest of the world! I love these little guys, they are few and far between here. The seagulls and crows make short work of them as soon as they fledge from the nest. Poor parents, all that hard work, snaffled in a gulp. Can anyone tell me what purpose seagulls serve? They decimate the babies of so many birds round here! Grrrrrrrrrrr.
