Beauty and terror

A good day - HH got his golf, the dogs and I got our walk and one or two plants finally got planted out.
We set out to go back down to Rio this afternoon, but there were just so many cars on the road at the end of what has been (yet another) holiday weekend that we turned back before we even reached the top of the Serra and headed home. A drag to have to unpack again, but the dogs were pleased to see us and we got to watch most of the final day's play in the U.S. Open. We were rooting for Tommy Fleetwood (good man, he follows Everton) and I think he did brilliantly, keeping his cool in the face of Koepke's amazing performance (and length). Proud of him for sinking the put for his par on the 18th - in fact, proud of him all round.

The waterfall in the photo is beautiful, but looking out over it, I can only say a prayer for the poor souls who were swept over it back in 2011.
