What a stroke of luck!

Sunday 18th June 2017        (backblip)

Another really hot day ........ we decided to take a trip to Gibraltar Point this afternoon ...... it's a lovely place to wander around ..... plus the weatherman said there would be a cooling breeze on the coast! It was a good choice!

We saw lots of things ..... including butterflies & many different birds ..... the Skylarks were singing ..... birds everywhere twittering .... we even heard a Cuckoo ....... there was a lovely cooling breeze too!

We also saw a Little Grebe .... too far away to get a decent shot ....... some cute ducklings (extra #1)

Also this bird (Extras 2 & 3) ????? Not sure what it is ..... think it is a type of Grebe but don't recognise the plumage ...... Help please!

We were really chuffed when this Sedge Warbler landed on a bush only about 6or 7 feet (2 metres) from us & began to sing ....... this little star just had to be today's blip! Do hope you like it :-)

Very sorry but will not be able to catch up with you all today .... hopefully that will be rectified tomorrow ....... pleased bear with me!
