Before and After

I pay L to do the weeding but most years the weeds round the raspberries are so bad she will not touch touch them. Plant scratches bring me up in large itchy red lumps ( hence paying for a gardener). Imagine the scene this afternoon in the sweltering heat - me in a long sleeved blouse, long trousers , socks and sandals to protect me from the plants, sitting on the ground to weed and prune the raspberries. You can see from the after photo below that I finished the job. After showering, I retired to the sofa with a choc-ice and a long cold drink,  to watch a film or two.
