Wick Court...

... Farms for city children.

This place first came into our hearts, especially Lucy, when she visited for a school residential when she was 10 and the farm hadn't long been open.

Michael Morpurgo, the children's author and Warhorse being one of many of his books, started the charity and there are now three farms ~ Devon, Gloucestershire and Wales.

The following year Mr C helped out on the residential and , I think, has been every time they go. (I went on two trips with the school). We have also used it as a family letting over new year and bank holidays. Out on a little peninsula in the river Severn, the views and walks are wonderful. This was also where Lucy had hoped to have had her wedding a couple of years ago.

Anyway, Mr C had some fleeces and waterproofs from work that he was donating to the farm and as we were that way we had arranged to drop them off and stop for lunch ~ a lovely roast lamb no less.

A lovely couple of hours spent there. We drove back to Lucy's and then headed back home. Another wonderful weekend.

This is a little bridge going over the moat, connecting the house to the fields.
