You'd not want these in your pants

A trip up to forest school this afternoon was hot, hot, hot.  

And there were ants, ants, ants.

Their nest is getting huge, huge, huge.

I braved the acid squirts and pincers to get this close-up of the main entrance hole, but it doesn't convey the sheer number, speed and rate of activity of the Formicidaen beauties.

Amazing animals, possibly my favourite.
