Hill Top Ramblings

The fritillary has landed

The heat goes on. It is now officially the longest June hot spell for 20 years( in the south, obviously), and very fine even here, 27C today and cloudless.
We went to Howe Ridding to count butterflies and we're pleased to see the first of the Dark Green Fritillaries on the wing, though too many horse flies for comfort.
Supper in the garden again.
