Cider Making at Ludlow

What a glorious day we had at the Ludlow Food Festival. I have so many pictures of food, but I thought I'd share this photo. There was an old 2 stroke engine powering a machine chopping cider apples. These were then put in the press to squeeze the juice out. You can see the flat slabs of apple residue piled up.

The town is worth a visit at any time. It has so many shops for foodies: many real bread bakeries (eg using no additives); plenty of butchers, ales, kitchen shops and more. The oldest building we saw dated back to the 1100s.
