The Seated Man

A new statue has appeared on the North York Moors. It has been positioned just off the road to Castleton overlooking Westerdale.

Richard was tipped off by his Pilates teacher and so today we went to investigate. It was placed there last week and is so new there is no information available on the web yet. It is constructed of cast metal and appears to be of a travelling workman. This is a bronze sculpture by Sean Henry (courtesy of Babrecila another blipper)

My dilemma was which photo to post. This is an attempt to show the scale with Jet sitting at his feet. The extra puts it in the context of the landscape as he surveys Westerdale. Which would you choose?
