Tern family

The Terns on the Isle of May can be vicious at this time of year while they are nesting. A video of the other passengers from the May Princess would have made fun viewing as folk held up walking poles, maps, hats, waved their hands or just kept walking very fast to keep out of the way of the diving terns to keep us away from their nests! One managed to avoid my walking pole & made direct hit on my head before leaving it's calling card all over my back pack.
