Branch Line

TUESDAY

A hectic day in the office trying to sort out problems with automatic doors, lifts, CCTV, alarms and pigeons. Never a dull moment and the day just flew by. 

At least it was a shade cooler than yesterday.

Harriet arrived at Glastonbury yesterday minus her most comfortable footwear so this evening I took her favourite shoes over to her friend at Stainland on the other side of the valley. They will be transported down to Worthy Farm tomorrow morning.

Today's blip is a quick of the disused viaduct that took the branch line as far as Stainland and Holywell Green. the station opened there in 1875 and closed in 1929. Goods train services ended in 1959.

The disused viaduct still looks in good shape.
