Sleepy Head

Today we have been to Wolterton Park where there happened to be a textile and costume fair on. There were also a lot of outdoor stalls of all sorts of things. We saw people dressing up in fifties costumes and Mr H listened to a talk about how to keep a wormery.

This tired sheep and her mates were part of a sheep shearing display by 'Gareth- the shepherd and sheep shearer'. They were very cute and kept resting their heads on each others backs, poor things, there wasn't much room in the pen for their usual heads down grazing posture. They all had ear tags, this wee beauty had hers missing and, as you can see. there is a big rip in her ear. :(

Unfortunately, their pen was also right next to a outdoor butchers stall. I did hear the shepherd say that these sheep were not yet destined for chops, he said they would be used for breeding.

We then went on to Baconsthorpe Castle, didn't see any pigs there, dead or alive.
