Albert Mill Falls

Met up with a friend today, whose father lives in one of the flats by Albert Mill, Keynsham. This meant we could go into the private communal garden, which is an island looking back at the bridge and waterfall you cross to get there.

Canon SX22oHS F5.6 ISO 200, Polarizer, 10 stop ND, 30 sec

It has taken me a long time to modify my point and shoot camera to be technically capable of taking long exposures in daylight, so here's how it was achieved in case anyone else is in the same position.

1.Downloaded CHDK to 'hack' my memory card (this allows you to choose a shutter speed as long as you like, along with many other overrides)
2. Purchased a set of two 58mm extender tubes, and wedged these onto the circular housing for the lens that forms part of the camera body. (a few thin strips of bicycle inner tube helped to really wedge it all in place)
3.Bought a circular polarizer and 10 stop ND filter to attach to the end of the extender tube.
