And now we're watching the news on The Queen's Speech at the Opening of Parliament today, the first funeral of the Grenfell Tower disaster remembering this time last week when the shock was huge and still receives all the coverage it deserves, the review of policing...and other concerning items.
 
Our House Group tonight continued our studies on The Lord's Prayer. Tonight was Petition. Sometimes we wonder what DO we pray...? One thing from this evening, when our prayers seem to receive a resounding NO, the pain of that no can be "agonisingly painful". It's then that God holds us and promises "it won't always be like this". 
 
And today, the summer solstice, we have officially experienced the longest heat wave in June since 1976...33.5 degrees at Heathrow Airport today.Many of us have had the feeling that was the case....!
