It is getting darker and colder and soon we will want evening heat from the wood-burning stove. Our huge May wood haul has been in untidy heaps in the shed ever since and today I sawed it into stove-length pieces. (As you can see I don't bother to remove the nails since fire is so much better at that than I am.) There's been nowhere to put more wood since May so I've neglected to collect any but once the stash was sawn and stacked I realised that there is much less than I thought. Time for more skip-raids.
