GoMA

The exhibition due to be displayed on the ground floor of Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) was cancelled by the artist and in its place sat a single white flag with the words "Who are they? Who are we?"

This is part of a international event called the Who Is? Project designed to get people thinking about issues relating to immigration and globalisation.

According to the Project website:
'A white flag emblazoned with the words “Who are they?, Who are we?“, is going to be exhibited from World Refugee Day on the 20th of June and onwards. World Refugee Day is a day that is dedicated to raising awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world. Asking the viewer the question, Who are they?, Who are we? , the flags are speaking about the many invisible borders we as a species have created through history.'

The cancellation of the original exhibition also gave visitors to GoMA the opportunity to see the internal architecture of the actual gallery at its best.
