Never ending homework

Luckily we did some research at the museum yesterday,as my daughter's homework is taking forever. She has to produce a timeline for 10 Egyptian Pharaohs and find out facts for them. 2 hours gone and she's just plotted number 7. Also an hour spent solving 8 maths problems. I'm sure this is way too much for a 9 year old, homework shouldn't take this long. Not sure who this figure is but he was £1.50 in the shop yesterday, and he's taken up residence on my kitchen table with the timeline, and Anubis, the jackal headed God.
