Our last day! Boo.

We packed everything up then went for brunch at Chocolate Apothecary on the seafront (lovely) before going back for our bags.

Spent most of the rest of the day lounging on the beach. Managed a swim fairly early, which was good because before long the tide was out so far it would have been a 10ish minute walk just to get to the water. One last ice cream then off to Cowes to catch the ferry.

We managed the earlier ferry (just), which meant we had time to pop into Ikea for some food - especially good since the train back to Bristol was cancelled, leaving us with an hour wait.

Finally got home at about 10, to the hottest flat in the world. A heatwave in a roof apartment was never gonna be nice, but without a single window open the whole time? Everything was boiling. We eventually managed to sleep, with every window wide open and wet hair to try and cool down.
