Framed Beetle

When I saw the Beetle at the end of the dark alley, I immediately knew how I wanted to frame it. It was sitting there in bright sunshine, partially covered by the last building of that shady street. I tried different POVs showing the entire car, but this first shot was the one my heart clung to.
I learned a pretty obvious first lesson about framing today: Framing is never just about putting a frame around something. Framing depends on what you want do express with the picture. Here, it was the contrast between dark and light surfaces and between dark, straight lines and brightly lit curves.
