Oystercatcher in Helsinki

It's been a long day.

On a geocaching trip to Finland and Estonia for the weekend with my friend Paul. After an early flight to Helsinki from Manchester via Heathrow we found a small number of caches early this evening.

The first geocache in the world was hidden in the USA in May 2000 and there are very few caches from the year 2000 left in the world. One of the caches we wanted to find was the only one in Finland from 2000 and it means we have now found all the caches from that year in Europe. There was one near Dublin (the first in Europe), 1 in Scotland, 2 in Denmark, 1 in Sweden and 1 in Belgium.

This picture was taken in 10:30pm just outside our hotel. We have to be up at 5:30 to catch the ferry to Tallinn. As we are 2 hours ahead that makes it 3:30 UK time

Thanks for the favourites for yesterday's robin. Glad you liked it.
