A memorial to an old church

Roedd rhaid i mi fynd i lawr i orsaf rheilffordd Caerdydd heno ac rhoiodd e i mi gyfle i weld rhywbeth am beth yr oeddwn i wedi darllen ar y we - yr eglwys yn y dafarn.  Yn wal y dafarn ar Stryd Wood dych chi'n gallu gweld amlinelliad eglwys.  Dydy e ddim yr eglwys go iawn, ond dim ond cofeb i'r hen eglwys - Santes Fair - oedd wedi sefyll ar y safle tan yr 17eg ganrif. Cafodd e ei adeiladu i mewn y wal pan gafodd yr adeilad yr adeiladu fel theatr yn 1920.

I had to go down to Cardiff railway station tonight and it gave me the opportunity to see something that I had read about on the web - the church in the tavern. In the wall of the pub on Wood Street you can see the outline of a church. It's not a real church, but only a memorial to the old church - St. Mary's -  which had  stood on the site until the 17th century. It  was built into the wall when the building was built as a theatre in 1920.
