Gumnuts

Are the the woody seed cases of a eucalyptus tree. Once again this is taken for my sister Mollymay.

I've never seen eucalyptus flowers or gumnuts outside of Australia. I was excited about the blossom. I'm more excited about the gumnuts. 

I think they are supposed to appear in the autumn but these have just been blown off the tree onto our deck. Maybe they get bigger by Autumn if they manage to stay on the tree. I'll wait and see.
