Eating Down the Fridge

Our last local lunch for a while -- some bits of local smoked cheese, some not-local French blue cheese, Breadfarm's wonderful black olive baguette, and a chopped salad of local celery, mixed greens, and cherry tomatoes from yesterday's farmers' market.

We are about done with what I call "eating down the fridge" -- using up all of the perishable items before we head east on Monday morning. What we don't finish we'll give to our wonderful neighbors, who are collecting our mail and keeping an eye on the house for us while we're away.

Thanks to my Blip "neighbors," too, for your reassuring messages to me in my pre-trip dithering state! I really appreciate them, and you.
